Where is Bungalow Heaven?

Bungalow Heaven is located in the city of Pasadena, California. It is a neighborhood whose name defines the types of homes that are in this part of town, the Classic California Bungalow. This  architecture was inspired by Greene and Greene's Architectural work of The Gamble House. You might have seen the Gamble House in Back To The Future, it was Doc's house.

Roof Pitch Degrees and Bungalows

Bungalow Heaven is a community of homes in Pasadena, California that is known for their unique architecture of homes that were original to years of 1900 to 1930. The most notable bungalow Architecture in Pasadena is the Gamble House, a creation of Greene and Greene (The picture above is not the Gamble House). To me, what is most notable about the bungalow house, is the the low pitch roof, which brings up the concept of mathematics and slope. The slope of the roof is no more than 20 degrees from the horizontal axis of these houses. I think this is one of the many unique characteristics that distinguish this architecture style.    (This is the rear view of the Gamble House)

Inverse Relationship: Size vs. Price

It may sound ironic, but buying a bigger house is cheaper for your wallet. Yes! A bigger house cost less than a smaller house. Let me show you why. There's an inverse relationship between the size of the house and the price per square foot of the house. I gathered data from Realtor.com by getting the following information from 18 houses on the real estate market today (9/23/2018) in the city of La Crescenta, California: Asking price and Size of house structure. I did simple division to find the price per square foot by dividing the total cost of the house by the square footage of house structure. By finding the price per square feet of these 18 different houses, I found a trend; that the bigger the house structure, the cheaper the price per square foot. Take a look at the chart below.
